Construction of Lung Tumor Model for Drug Screening Based on 3D Bio-Printing Technology

As is known to all, the biological characteristics of two-dimensional (2D) cultured cells are quite different from those in vivo, so 2D screening model can no longer meet people’s needs. With development tissue engineering, people committed developing 3D models that better reflect biology and tend be mass miniaturized. In this study, three-dimensional (3D) bio-printing was used develop an appropriate for sensitive anti-lung cancer drugs vitro. A549 lung were mixed with 8% sodium alginate 5% gelatin as ink fabricate a cell-laden hydrogel grid scaffold structure. The sensitivity printed evaluated eight anti-tumor traditional Chinese medicines. A fluorescent live/dead staining carried out at time assess cell survival rate scaffolds. MTT assay determine inhibitory antitumor medicines on proliferation 3D-printed tumor conventional culture models.
